Second Graduation Ceremony of the University of Derby, UK was held on Sunday, 11 December, 2016 in the Main Auditorium, Bangladesh National Museum, Shahbag, Dhaka. The ceremony was organized by BAC International Study centre, the partner institution of University of Derby, UK. Professor Philip Plowden, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, University of Derby was present as Special Guest. Among other guests, Mr. Justice Md Imman Ali, Honourable Judge, Appellate Division, Supreme Court of Bangladesh, Mr. Justice A K M Asaduzzaman, Honourable Judge, Supreme Court of Bangladesh, Mr. Justice Jahangir Hossain, Honourable Judge, Supreme Court of Bangladesh ,Mr. Justice Ashraful Kamal, Honourable Judge, Supreme Court of Bangladesh, Mr. Justice Zafar Ahmed, Honourable Judge, Supreme Court of Bangladesh, Mr. M Yusuf Hussain Humayun, President, Supreme Court Bar Association, and Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of Bangladesh, Mr. S. M Rezaul Karim, Chairman, Finance Committee, Bangladesh Bar Council & Advocate, Supreme Court of Bangladesh, Hosne Ara Begum, M.P Advocate, Bangladesh Supreme Court, Mr. Md. Abdus Salam FCA, Managing Director, Janata Bank and Professor Dr. M. Harunur Rashid, Chairman, BAC International Study Centre were present in the occasion. Professor Dr. M. Harunur Rashid presided over the ceremony. 136 students were conferred graduation degree in BA (Hons) in Business Administration, Law and Information Technology and 23 students were conferred LLM in Commercial Law degree.
Professor Philip Plowden said that University of Derby has been creating opportunity to achieve the University of Derby degree which is globally recognized for its academic excellence. For this reason, University of Derby has recognized BAC International Study Centre as their partner institute.
Professor Philip Plowden congratulated the graduates for their brilliant achievement and he also said that without earning globally reputed and empirical education it would not be possible to success in life.
All the judges and other guests urged the students to utilize the opportunity for earning the UK degree under University of Derby by staying in Bangladesh.
