BTEC Higher National Diploma (HND)

BTECs are the qualifications of choice for training providers globally and are popular with learners in upgrading their skills. With a work-related pedagogy, BTECs provide learners with progression into higher education and employment while also helping enhance employability. BTECs are work related education suitable for a wide range of students, built to accommodate the needs of employers and allow progression to university. They provide a more practical, real-world approach to learning alongside a key theoretical background. In 2006/07, more than one million students enrolled on a BTEC course in the UK alone.BAC HND students will study the following compulsory core units:

The students will require taking another eight units from a suit of more than fifty units in Business and Law. Thus an HND student requires taking sixteen units. For HNC, a student will need twelve units to study.
