BAC is headed by Professor M. Harunur Rashid Ph.D. Professor Rashid, a career academic and a professional education management specialist, has spent more than four decades in teaching at tertiary level in different universities at home and abroad. He was actively involved in multi-disciplinary research and educational management during his entire professional career. Starting as a lecturer of Accounting in the University of Dhaka in 1974, he has devoted his entire professional life in institution development, curriculum development, curriculum administration, oversight management, internal and external academic verification and in educational institution management. During his 38-years long tenure in Dhaka University he enjoyed the position of departmental chairman, hall provost, and heads of units at different levels. Professor Rashid served as the Vice Chancellor of the Presidency University Bangladesh for six years. Professor M. Harunur Rashid is a veteran in consultancy world with multi-disciplinary and multi-institutional expertise. Although his primary area of interest is public financial management, his area of expertise eventually extended to aid management, mutual accountability and development effectiveness. He has been working with international organizations like UNDP, UNFPA, DfID, USAID, DANIDA and World Bank for more than two decades. Professor Rashid has more than twenty publications in local and international journals and innumerable research reports for international organizations and Government of Bangladesh. Professor Rashid is a visionary and has the right aptitude to materialize BAC vision to become catalyst of change in Bangladesh education.

Abdullah-Al-Mamun is currently working as Assistant Professor in the Japan Study Centre (JSC) of the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh and Consultant (Academic Development & Partnership Management), BAC International Study Centre – a partner institution of University of Derby, University of London and Edexcel, UK. He is also the Executive Director of Institute of Development Sociology, Executive Member of Center for Governance Studies, Member of Bangladesh Political Science Association and National Volunteer of National Election Monitoring Council (JANIPOP).

He earns Post Graduate Degree in Sociology from the University of Dhaka with excellent academic record. He joined as a Lecturer in JSC in 2006. He received MBA in Marketing, Diploma in Japanese Studies and Diploma in Leadership and Governance Studies.

Mr. Mamun is the Co-author of 3 books- Japanese Government and Politics, Japanese Society and Culture, Japanese Economy. His good numbers of articles have been published in local and international journals. He has presented many papers in international conferences in USA, UK, India, Bhutan, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippine and Mauritius. His research interest and teaching activities center on wide range of development arenas with special reference to Japan, Aid management International Politics, Local Government, Education and Development Sociology. His research area also includes Transnational Security, Population and Environment.

Mr. Mamun is  a young, energetic and vibrant person who is equipped with all modern academic concepts. He has more than 12 years experience in the education industry as a teacher, academic administrator, and moderator of examination board in the university, trainer and an expert in the curriculum development. He has six years working experience as a journalist in both print and electronic media.

He has  profound experience of working in different international development organizations as consultant like UNDP, JAICA, DAI (US) and Save the Children and has worked in the ground of Human Rights Development, Community Mobilization, Literacy Movement, and Poverty Alleviation and so forth. He also contributed to Economic Relation Department (ERD), Government of People’s Republic of Bangladesh remarkably in their policy formation and project implementation.

He also has expertise in leadership practice, education management, brand promotion, customer service and marketing new products.
